I’m currently watching Michael Greenberger, U. of MD Health & Homeland Security Director, on @cspanwj talking about how the US government at all levels no longer has adequate funding to deal with these disasters. NRC is conducting a 90 day review, but they historically have been captured regulators by industry. I don’t doubt that Jeffrey Immelt could have Mr Jaczko’s job as head of NRC by writing another little check to President Obama the same way he got chairship on the President’s “small business” economic jobs initiative council.
