Remember that this practice is illegal in Britain. In the US child labor is traditional, along with slavery, tax evasion, and gun dealing. It doesn’t seem that bad until you think for a moment what it means for the rest of us to exploit the most vulnerable children for cheap vegetables. For me it makes the beltway hot air about “free markets” sound pretty stupid. Its David Copperfield with modern appliances. #USKleptocracy
From CBS News: The debate on child farm labor: In agriculture, children as young as 12 are allowed to work unlimited hours outside of school. Byron Pitts reports on the “Migrant Stream” and the families who are part of it whose children work alongside them in the fields for minimum wage.
