Sergio Hernandez-Guereca: US Wouldn’t Charge Border Patrol Agent In Killing Of Mexican Teen Over The Border Fence
An upteenth “stone-throwing incident” at the US-Mex border fence draws some heat from the Mexican embassy over border patrol’s “Texas justice” rationality for child-murder. Since the unnamed agent in question is being protected, we may conjecture whether DHS and ICE actually paid him a bonus for the head count. Certainly a paid leave was floated him. I have blogged about this phenomenon before, how US cops all swoop in to visit the scene of a “deadly force” cop shooting. The cops who stop and gawk at the body of some dead teen holding a doobie can all get themselves 30 days paid vacation leave for gun trauma. Apparently US border patrol likes to show their kills off to each other hanging on the border fence for their paid vacation-party.
